Sylvia Pennings is Managing Director of Tulip Experience Amsterdam. As the third generation of the Pennings tulip-growing family, she grew up working on the family tulip farm. In 2019, she started Tulip Experience Amsterdam together with her father, Simon Pennings.
Tulip Experience Amsterdam was created to share the story behind the tulip and give visitors an insight into the work of Dutch tulip growers. Located in the heart of the Dutch Flower Bulb Region, the family-run attraction combines a museum about the tulip and its growing process with a four-hectare tulip garden. The garden features 4 million tulips in 700 different varieties, all grown by the Pennings family. Visitors can also pick their own tulips in the indoor picking area, which is included in the entrance ticket. The experience also includes several art exhibitions, a cinema, regional markets and a coffee corner.
