Dr. Zhulong Chan holds a PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has completed postdoctoral training at multiple institutions including MSU, UCR, and Purdue University. Currently, he holds positions as a professor at Wuhan Botanic Garden CAS and Huazhong Agricultural University in China. His research primarily focuses on the development and production of tulip bulbs, as well as the control and adjustment of flowering time and vase life extension of tulip cut flowers. Additionally, he has a strong interest in tulip flower tourism and marketing. He has been granted 10 patents and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Chinese Tulip Expert Committee.
