Anouk van Eekelen is Director Destination Development at the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions . With her team, she wants to drive innovations and stimulate sustainable development in destination Netherlands. As the national destination management organisation of and for the Netherlands, NBTC provides a national vision for tourism based on relevant knowledge and insights. We inspire, connect and facilitate cities, regions, business owners and other stakeholders. To make our country a liveable, popular and valuable destination for residents, visitors and companies.
Flowers and especially tulips play an important role in Dutch history, culture and many visitor attractions, that are supported by NBTC in destination development.
Previously, Anouk was a politician and had her own business in training and consultancy on business etiquette. She studied International Relations at Leiden University.
