Albert Dros is a world renown landscape photographer. Being in the industry for more than 10 years, Dros won numerous awards and can often be seen working together with some of the biggest brands in the industry. For his photography projects, Dros travels around showing his distinctive colorful style again and again, inspired by the old Dutch master painters. Dros is known for his work in many places around the world: Capturing the remote beauty of both the poles in Greenland and Antarctica, photographing spectacular planned milky ways with erupting volcanoes, eclipses in South America, and many more.
Dros also has the extreme passion to photograph his home country the Netherlands. Every time he returns from remote places, he finds joy in photographing a windmill on a foggy morning, or the tulips every April and May. He has been doing this for more than 10 years and captured the tulips from basically every angle: From planes, drones, macro lenses and the classical angles. In fact, Dros’ style of photographing tulips in the Netherlands set a mark for newer generations: Dros started capturing the tulips in a very immersive way through special techniques (called focus stacking) making it look like the audience is almost in the photo. Nowadays many photographers are inspired by Dros’ work and Albert keeps pushing the boundaries every year, capturing tulips with spectacular conditions like snow and rare thunderstorms.
In 2024 Albert started a new project in cooperation with the World Tulip Society to capture the beauty and joy the tulip brings every spring to millions of people around the world
